LEGO Mindstorms/Spike Prime Robotics Academy (Ages 8-14)

Dive into the world of robotics with LEGO Mindstorms EV3 and Spike Prime! This hands-on class is perfect for intermediate and junior level students... aspiring engineers, inventors, and tech enthusiasts. Students will learn to design, build, and program robots using the versatile LEGO Education Robotics platform.

This class is for intermediate and junior level students

Key learning topics include:

  • Robot Construction: Explore the mechanical engineering behind building functional robots.
  • Programming Basics: Master the intuitive programming environment to bring your creations to life. Students start out learning to program the robot to maneuver around obstacles and through mazes, before moving on to more challenges, such as working with sensors, motorized extensions, and more!
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Tackle exciting challenges that test creativity and critical thinking.
  • Team Collaboration: Work in small groups to share ideas, enhance designs, and complete tasks.

Whether you're a beginner or have prior experience, this class offers a fun and dynamic way to engage with STEM concepts while unleashing your imagination. By the end of the program, students will have the confidence to innovate beyond the basics!

Students move up a level each time they take the class in order to take on more advanced concepts and activities, continuously learning.

The Robotics Academy helps prepare students to participate in robotics competitions such as WRO and FLL.
