Microsoft Arcade MakeCode: Game Development (Ages 9-14)

Dive into the exciting world of game development with Microsoft Arcade MakeCode! This hands-on class empowers students to create their very own playable video games while exploring coding concepts in a fun and engaging way. Perfect for beginners and coding enthusiasts alike, the course uses MakeCode's intuitive block-based programming interface, enabling students to craft creative games without prior experience.

Students will learn essential programming fundamentals like loops, conditionals, variables, and event handling, all while designing characters, constructing levels, and adding interactive elements to their games.

The class fosters problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity in an interactive environment where learners bring their ideas to life. By the end of the program, each student will showcase their original game, ready to play and share with friends and family!

If you are familiar with Scratch, MakeCode is a great next step. No prior coding knowledge is required—just bring your curiosity and imagination, and let the world of MakeCode guide you into becoming a game developer!
