LEGO Mindstorms Robotics (Grades 3-8)
Oct 23 - Nov 13, Wednesdays, 7-8pm, 4 weeks
This class is for older children, grades 3-8, new or returning students, or students who have mastered the LEGO WeDo robotics and are ready for a challenge! Students work with the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot system, learning how to program the robot to maneuver around by controlling motors; read sensors such as light sensors, ultrasonic sensors and push buttons; manipulate objects using a robotic arm; programming techniques such as switch statements, loops, and parallel programing, and more! This class is also ideal for students interested in joining a robotics competition team like WRO and FLL but need to learn the basics of robotics.
LEGO Mindstorms Robotics is a repeatable program where children are placed based on skill and experience. Students move up a level each time they take the class in order to take on more advanced concepts and activities, continuously learning.
