LEGO Robotics Academy
The LEGO Robotics Academy is a comprehensive program where children learn to design, build and program projects based on LEGO Education platform, including Wedo, Mindstorms, and Spike Prime. Using a creative educational approach that supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), this class uses teacher-led instruction followed by fun, engaging, and dynamic activities.
The Robotics Academy is a repeatable program where children are placed based on skill and experience.
Younger students start with LEGO Education WeDo, building a different mechanical project each week and coding it with a computer. Students learn how to control motors, and work with sensors, in a easy to learn environment using a computer to build and code projects. These activities prepare students to transition onto the next level of robotics.
Older and experienced students work with the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 and Spike Prime robot. Students start out learning to program the robot to maneuver around obsticals and through mazes, before moving on to more challenges, such as working with sensors, motorized extensions, and more!
Students move up a level each time they take the class in order to take on more advanced concepts and activities, continuously learning.
The Robotics Academy helps prepare students to participate in robotics competitions such as WRO and FLL.
